WARNING use in HBBS Barrels Only HBBS 410 ga. Star Crimped slug load
Shot shell press with star crimp set up
Primed Ballistic Products 410 ga. Multi Hull trimmed to 2.500 inch
Powder scale and XX gr (deleted) powder
375 gr. HBBS Base Guard Slug
Approximate velocity 1085 fps
XXgr. powder charge is max. Slugs need to be firmly seated on top of powder charge, you can us a 1/4 inch wood dowel or eraser end of a pencil to seat the slug; avoid damaging the nose of the slug. Some adjustment to your loading press may be required to achieve a nice crimp. A 600 Jr. Mec does a nice job on the star crimp loads and these loads are very easy to load. Do not use the wad seater to seat the slugs, you will damage the slug and possibly damage your loader. HBBS barrels have very close tolerances; always check for correct chamber and throat clearances. Complete load data is available in brochure form with purchase of barrel.

This is an ideal load for youth hunters, mild recoil and plenty of power to take deer with. I recommend keeping shots at game within capabilities of the shooter. Also I would not recommend this load past 100 yards. If you are expecting shots at game past 100 yards use one of the heavier loads.
